At the age of 12 I discovered weights. Was it to get strong, feel confident, look good for the girls?...probably a mix of many reasons. From the early days of a picnic table bench and two saw horses for benching in my basement, to several gyms and a 20+ year martial arts career, things have come full circle - back to the basement and the backyard just looking to get better.
I took my love for sports, martial arts and weights and got certified in 2001. Since then, I've enjoyed helping others get in shape, recover from serious injury and achieve what they thought was out of reach. It's my pleasure to train with hard workers and those who push themselves. What I have learned from coaching kids and adults is to never underestimate the athlete. They will always impress you and change your preconceived thoughts.
What is an athlete? Anyone that wants to move and get better and stronger, regardless of age. Age is a state of mind. We ALL can get better. Through a combination of martial arts, 'traditional' weight lifting and odd object training, let's bring out the best in you.
